On 4th – 5th April 2023, at the premises of LSBU University in London, the last transnational meeting of the European project TEGA – Training the Educators to Facilitate the Teaching and Assessment of Abstract Syllabus by the Use of Serious Games was held.

TEGA 2nd Lithuanian Multiplier Event – Kaunas, 24th March, 2023

On 24th of March 2023, the faculty team members of Vilnius University Kaunas, Assist. Prof. Indre Sciukauske and Researcher Darius Karasa, held the TEGA multiplier event at Kaunas Technology University in Kaunas, Lithuania.

During the ME, the partners from Lithuania presented the TEGA project’s results and showed them practically during workshop with LEGO with more than 30 participants from different VET and secondary schools and universities.

Overall, the audience welcomed the TEGA results, based on the interest shown during the event, the discussions and the engagement during workshop. Many participants mentioned their interest to use the TEGA community of practice platform for more ideas and advices how to use game-based learning and TEGA methodology during their lectures.

TEGA Project’s Lisbon Event Promotes Non-Competitive Gaming and Soft Skills Among Students

On February 1, 2023 the TEGA project organized its second multiplier event in Portugal at Escola Secundária D. Dinis, in Lisbon.
This event took place in conjunction with another project, Youth For Youth, and had the participation of 30 students from the school. A variety of activities were developed with the objective to show that not all games are competitive, they can also be non-competitive and encourage collaboration between players, foster soft skills, and help teachers in their classes.

Leveraging tabletop games in education – 2nd Multiplier event and workshop of TEGA by DAISSy-HOU

On Friday 3rd March 2023, the multiplier event of the European project TEGA took place in Patras, Greece. The event included individual presentations regarding the outputs of the project so far, as well as a hands-on workshop on the application of the LEGO® Serious Play^TM methodology in education.

TEGA Multiplier Events by LSBU – London, 20th & 23rd February 2023

As part of our TEGA project, LSBU held two Multiplier Events on 20th and 23rd February, one inviting the teachers and lectures across UK institutions and the other one practitioners with an interest in education. In these two events, LSBU team showcased the game-based learning, the TEGA app and website and the participants tried their hands on analogue games, provided suggestions for games in their disciplines including project management, risk management, sustainability, library activities, organisational development and engineering.

TEGA 1st Portugal Multiplier Event – Lisbon, 9th November 2022

On November 9, 2022, the TEGA project organized its first multiplier event in Portugal, namely at the Lusófona University campus in Lisbon.
This event was supported by an organization in the area of social inclusion – APPACDM Lx – and 33 participants. Several activities were developed under the motto “Playtesting for Diversity”. Thus, hands-on experiences were promoted to disseminate the methodological potential of the TEGA project, rethinking the inclusiveness of games and their potential.

The second transnational training activity of the TEGA project in Lisbon

TEGA second training was held in Lisbon in 12th-14th October 2022 in Lusofona University. The certificates were awarded to the 15 participants from 4 participating universities including LSBU (UK), Lusofona University (Postugal), Vilnius University (Lithuania), Hellenic Open University (Greece).
